mission accomplished!

have you ever noticed that there are these awkward few days each year when it's too late to wish someone a merry christmas, but still too early for "happy new year"? i guess that's why we resort to the cliche "see you next year! chuckle chuckle chuckle..." just something to think about i guess...

anyways... i am proud to announce that i accomplished almost everything on my christmas to-do list! and considering that the provo tabernacle burned down, making it kind of difficult to go to any of the events there, and that the "north pole express" would have costed like 40 bucks, i think i did pretty well! over break i went to temple square with my brother and his wife, and ogden's christmas village with my sister and niece, and both were so great! 

there's just something about temple square that gets me every time. first of all, there are about a bajillion lights, which is a major plus, and second, the temple is absolutely b e a u t i f u l!

 the christmas village in ogden was really fun too. it was another attraction most likely meant for children (considering the windows to the little displays were like 2 feet from the ground...) but it was still fun to walk around and see all the lights. my sister and i didn't stay too late, because it was absolutely freezing, but we were there long enough to see plenty of elves, penguins, and slightly creepy old-fashioned dolls, and to experience the sweet aroma of taquitos as we walked by the festive little stand. overall, totally worth the frostbitten fingers.
