this weekend was absolutely fabulous. on friday night, karissa, chelsea, rachel and i went to see the lights at thanksgiving point (one of the things on my christmas to-do list!) and they were really cool! i've never been to one of these light drive-through things, but of course, i loved it.

it was pretty short, and probably meant for small children, but we still made the best of it! we even stopped several times to hop out and take pictures with the elves/igloos/skiers!

(it's a little dark, but we're definitely right there in the middle, skiing with the best of 'em!)

(so, apparently one of karissa's life goals was to be in an igloo...so glad we finally made this little californian's wish come true!)

after the lights, we went back home and invited a few people over to make hot cocoa with whipped cream and milano cookies...mmmmm so good. to top off the night, we watched "the holiday" and chatted for a bit. overall, a great night.
