kmm day 10: fictionist.

so, i'm pretty sure i remember hearing about these guys my freshman year at byu, but i never got around to going to one of their shows...until this summer! a couple of my friends have raved about how good they were, and it was about time i found out for myself!

of course, i was not disappointed. i went to their signing concert on the 21st, and although they're not the kind of sound i usually go for {a lot more rock than my usual folk/indie stuff}, i love them because they're fun, really talented musicians, and it was clear they love what they're doing. 

not to mention, they made me YouTube famous...yep, i'm on the internet. in this video from the concert, look closely at the girl in the black/white striped shirt in the bottom left corner, cause it's totally me! also, notice the avid head-banger with the curly hair in the front row...he was a little out of control. the whole time. it was pretty frightening.

so basically, they're really good, and you should love them. also, anyone in the provo area, GO TO THE VELOUR! seriously, the exposure to good, local music is completely worth the money. i pinky promise. {and that's how you know i. mean. business.}
