i don't usually like covers cause they're rarely as good as the original, especially when the original is a postal service song, but i like the shins a lot too and i think they really pulled it off :

also, a special thanks to jack whitacre for introducing me to the shins in the first place! i'm not sure if he remembers this, but at my high school graduation party a few years ago, he gave me one of their cd's, and wrote a nice little note to me on the paper sleeve. it was awesome. and now every time i listen to them, i think of him and smile. thanks "alfonso"!
